Concurrent field experiences are an integral part of Community Nutrition I and II (NTR 513 and
514)
This experience is planned by the faculty,
students, and field advisors. Through them students develop an
understanding of and appreciation for the realities of public health nutrition practice and how
nutrition-related community needs are addressed by available health care programs.

integration of concepts and resources from diverse disciplines across the university for
application to problems in human nutrition, including those faced by individuals,
families, and communities, and those with special health care needs;
Continue to provide and evaluate continuing education interventions for public health
nutritionists and establish the public health nutrition program as the Southeastern United
